I am a writer, podcaster, producer, creator and consumer of open media. Some might call me an enthusiast. Or a crazy person who gives her fiction away. No matter.
A while back I had a job where I (and my good friend Jason Adams) had to create a blog that followed the open media movement, the news in Creative Commons licensing, the constant struggle against DRM, IP law, and the actual content that everyone is so up in arms about. Sadly, those jobs for us ceased to be before we could ever launch the blog with enough fanfare, and I decided I was interested enough in the movement to continue the work. Only now I could do it the way I wanted to.
I realized there wasn’t a place online (to be fair - I didn’t know of a place online) that collected and reviewed the best in open media. And as a consumer, that’s what I like best. So watch this blog for reviews of what I’m reading and listening to, and I’ll be inviting my colleagues in open media to come and participate.
I’d also like your input: if you would like to submit a review or a link, please email me. I’d love to get a conversation started about the best in open media, but I can’t do it alone. Thanks for taking the time to check out this fledgling site.

Hi, great idea for a site/blog! I’ll plan on mentioning on the CC blog when there’s a bit more here.
When the reviewed items are CC licensed I highly recommend linking to the license used and using a coarser tag (like by-sa or by-nc-nd) to aid discovery and navigation.
